Think Ahead gets mental health careers recognised in Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list

We can today announce that Think Ahead has been placed at number 62 in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list – marking mental health social work as a career of choice for graduates for the first time.

We are the only dedicated mental health employer on the list, which is dominated by corporates including PWC, Google, Deloitte and Unilever.

The list is compiled from interviews with over 20,000 final-year students at 30 different universities across the UK. Interviewees are asked which employer they think offers the best opportunities for graduates. Being placed at number 62 means we are ahead of employers including BT, Facebook, the Bank of England and BMW Group. The full list can be viewed at the Top 100 Graduate Employers website.

We’re delighted to have played a part in helping graduates recognise that mental health – and in particular mental health social work – is a top career choice. Mental health social workers play a crucial role in supporting people with mental illness to get well and stay well. They are uniquely placed to look holistically at a person’s situation and address social issues – such as housing, employment and relationships – that are so important to mental health.
