Think Ahead placed at number 36 in Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list
We are pleased to announce that Think Ahead is featured at number 36 in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list. It’s the third year running that our programme is included, and our position has improved by six places from the 2018 list, up from number 42.
The list, which was published today, was created following interviews with over 19,000 final year students at UK universities during the 2017-2018 academic year. Each student interviewed was asked which one employer they think offers the best opportunities for graduates.
Think Ahead is the only dedicated mental health employer featured, and is placed higher than many household names – including Apple, Sky, M&S, ASOS, Facebook and McDonald’s.
Our continued inclusion demonstrates that students are motivated to be involved in tackling the national mental health challenge, and are recognising that social work is a way to make a real difference. Mental health social workers play a crucial role in supporting people with mental illness to get well and stay well. They work with individuals to address social issues – like housing, finances and relationships – that have a profound impact on mental health.
Applications to join the Think Ahead programme in 2020 have opened today (Wednesday 23 September). If you’re passionate about having a positive impact on society, our paid two-year programme may be for you.
