Submission to NHS Change Consultation

The Department of Health and Social Care recently launched their Change NHS Consultation, to help shape the new 10 Year Health Plan for England.

Responding to the consultation, we emphasise that mental health is as much a social issue as it is a health one and that for the 10 Year Health Plan to be a success, it must be developed and delivered with social care and voluntary services at its heart.

Committed to moving to more preventative and community-based care, we argue that mental health social workers are key to this ambition being fulfilled and the government should be prioritising them in their plans.
