Birmingham – ‘Wellbeing in the workplace’ skills session
University of Birmingham students
How to maintain positive wellbeing in the workplace.
The Think Ahead programme is a new route into social work, for graduates and career-changers remarkable enough to make a real difference to people living with mental ill-health. Join us to discuss how you can maximise your opportunities when you enter the workplace, whichever job you choose to go into after university.
Our recruitment team will take you through the most common issues that come up when graduates start full-time work after university, with a focus on sustaining positive wellbeing through a variety of techniques. Discussions will include tips for:
– resolving personal issues at work
– encouraging work-life balance
– organising time and resources to encourage efficiency
This is likely to be a useful session for any students wanting advice on the nature of a typical workplace, in order to feel as prepared as possible when beginning full-time work. Our recruitment team will be sharing guidance on their personal experiences of healthy work environments and effective strategies for coping with challenging scenarios in the workplace, and will be available to answer individual or group questions at the end of the session.
