Cardiff – ‘Building your strengths’ skills session

University of Cardiff students

Building your strengths: the importance of self-awareness in the workplace.

Think Ahead, a new graduate programme in mental health social work, will discuss strategies to develop your self-awareness in order to make the most of your skills and abilities in the world of work.

Using reflective tools, group discussion and feedback, the Think Ahead recruitment team will support you in gaining a better understanding of yourself in order to increase personal and professional effectiveness. The session will include:
– theories of self-awareness and self-reflection.
– practical exercises to help identify your own strengths and areas of growth.
– support in creating goals for the future to develop key skills.

This is likely to be a useful session for any students wanting to better understand their personal expertise and drive, especially when first entering the workplace. Our recruitment team will be sharing guidance on how to build on your current skill set and will be available to answer individual or group questions at the end of the session.
