Let’s talk: we need more men in social work

For those interested in the male experience of mental health social work

Only a quarter of mental health social workers are men. We want to change that.

Social work is a career men can thrive in and should be fully representative of the society we live in. We need to break down stereotypes and encourage more men to join the sector to provide empathetic, caring and resourceful male role models for boys and men with mental health needs.

Join us and explore how you could make a difference to people’s lives. Hear from past-trainees about mental health social work from a male perspective, experienced mental health social workers, and people who have used mental health services.

We’ll also share some top tips on how to make the most of your application, discuss the attributes you need to become a great social worker, and where you could take your career after the programme.
